Beginners classes
Learn the basic skills of bellydance:
- focus on technique
- easy combinations
- simple classical choreographies
Alternate terms focus on soft, smooth movements, and sharp, dynamic movements. Students are encouraged to complete two terms before moving on to the Continuing Beginners class. Enthusiastic students who are willing to put in extra effort are encouraged to attend both a Beginners and a Continuing Beginners class.

Continuing Beginners classes
Using your basic bellydance skills:
- focus on further developing technique and combinations within the context of choreography
- add props to your repertoire
Over three terms, learn to dance to simple choreographies with zills, veil and stick, in the fourth term learning a modern Egyptian or Turkish pop choreography. Students are encouraged to complete four terms before moving up to the Intermediate class, or to attend both the Continuing Beginners class as well as the Intermediate class.

Intermediate classes
Develop and improve existing technique:
- incorporate layering, isolation and intricate movement
- move to more complex step combination
- develop from a student into an individual dancer
- apply your own unique interpretation of music and movement.
This class is recommended for students with at least 12 months experience, or attending a Continuing Beginners class concurrently.

Advanced classes
The teacher accompanies the dancer towards their personal goals – either continuing development as a hobby, performance as a professional soloist dancer, or simply a love of the dance!
- learn challenging choreographies
- develop and improve technique at an advanced level
This class is recommended for students with at least two years experience, or attending an Intermediate class concurrently.

Short courses
Interested in trying bellydance without committing to an eight or 10 week term? Short courses run for three weeks, providing a consolidated introduction to bellydance and a ‘taste’ of all the basic belly dance moves. A simple choreography will be taught over the three weeks, and each class will incorporate a warm up, dance technique, choreography and stretching components.

Weekend intensives
Want to really focus and learn the basics over a weekend? Weekend Intensives involve seven hours of dancing spread over two days, taking you from the very basics (correct posture and breathing) through to the technique of all the basic bellydance moves:
- Learn two lovely choreographies to practice at home afterwards
- Plenty of stretching and technique conditioning is included
- Be inspired by this beautiful and joyous dance form
- Obtain an understanding of the history of middle eastern dance and its various forms

Performance
Optional performance opportunities are available for all students at the Intermediate and Advanced level, and to Continuing Beginners with at least six months experience.
Hen’s parties
Book a bellydance class for a fun and inclusive way of celebrating a hen’s party. Learn the basic bellydance moves as well as a simple, fun and slightly cheeky routine.
